A Football Prediction League, From Zero to Launch
PrediBall is a next-gen football prediction league for the Champions League, the Premier League, and the world’s biggest competitions — predict scores, climb live leaderboards, and run private leagues with friends. As co-founder and Creative Director at Canvas & Core Labs, I owned the brand, product UI, marketing, and website end to end, and shipped it across iOS, Android, and web — to 9,000 users in its first month.

The Product
PrediBall is a next-gen football prediction league for the Champions League, Europe’s top five leagues and the world’s biggest tournaments. Fans pick outcomes and exact scores, check the Lab before they lock in, watch a live leaderboard reshuffle as matches play out, and run private leagues with friends, family or the office. I co-founded PrediBall at Canvas & Core Labs and led it as Creative Director, owning every part a fan touches, from the brand and the interface to the marketing and the website, from first sketch to a shipped launch.
The Challenge
Prediction pools have run on spreadsheets and clunky legacy apps for years — slow, ad-riddled, and impossible to keep in sync. PrediBall had to replace all of that with something that felt fast, beautiful, and genuinely fun. The harder problem was range and restraint: a product deep enough for stats-obsessed fans — expected goals, lineups, custom scoring — that still opened as one clean, obvious card for someone joining an office pool. And it had to launch into a crowded football-app market on a brand people would trust with their bragging rights.
The Approach
I set one principle — fast, focused, and unmistakably football — and carried it through every layer. A confident dark identity built on deep navy and a vivid orange, a two-tone wordmark, and Plus Jakarta Sans throughout. A product UI that turns dense match data into calm, tappable cards and hides real complexity behind single actions. And a marketing campaign and website that sell the whole experience in one scroll. Owning brand, product, and marketing together kept the invite, the app, and the campaign feeling like one thing.
The Brand

PrediBall had to feel like match night — fast, confident, and unmistakably football, without tipping into the loud, sports-betting aesthetic. I built the identity on a deep-navy stadium palette with a vivid orange as the signal color, a two-tone wordmark that splits “Predi” and “Ball,” and a ball-brain icon for the predict-and-compete idea.
Plus Jakarta Sans carries the whole system, so the brand a fan meets on the website is the exact one they live in on match day — from the app store badge to the last leaderboard row.
The Product Interface

PrediBall packs real football depth, from exact scores and live stats to match previews, brackets and custom scoring, into an interface that still opens as one calm, tappable card. Every screen was designed to make the next action obvious.
Predictions
The core loop is one clean card per match: pick the exact score before kickoff, then watch the points land while the match is still being played. Picks stay editable until kickoff and stay hidden from the group until it starts, and every card opens the Lab.

Leaderboards
Every pick feeds a table that moves in real time. Podium medals, favorite-team flags and joint ranks that treat ties fairly turn a scoreboard into a social competition, and every group keeps its past seasons in a Hall of Fame.

The Lab
Every Champions League and top-five-league match gets its own page a week before kickoff, with win chances, recent form in every competition, head-to-head and lineups. It fills in as kickoff gets closer, and it’s free for everyone.

PrediBall Plus
An optional subscription for the Lab’s full analysis: a short AI-written briefing before every match, a predicted score and the chance of every scoreline, a side-by-side team comparison, season stats and how the forecast has moved. Plus never changes how predictions are scored or where anyone ranks.

Bracket Challenge

Private Leagues & Scoring
Anyone can start a private league from one link or code, with no size limit, from three friends to a 500-person office pool. A guided wizard prefills recommended scoring, then every rule is the admin’s: exact-score points, rarity bonuses for bold picks, advancing-team points, bonus questions and when picks lock.

The Marketing Website

The website had to sell the whole product to a first-time fan and hand them the app in one scroll. I designed and built the marketing site to carry the brand end to end — the deep-navy identity, the vivid orange, and the same interface a fan meets inside the app.
It opens on the promise — “Predict. Compete. Win.” — walks each feature through real product screens, proves the range of competitions, and closes on the app-store links. PrediBall shipped across iOS, Android, and web, and reached 9,000 users in its first month.

Promo & Product Videos
Scriptwriting · Storyboarding · Video Production
For the promo video, I wrote the script, built the storyboard and produced it in After Effects. In under a minute, it walks a fan through the app. Bold headlines set the pace while phones turn to show the real product, from building a free bracket to match insights, stadiums, squads and performance metrics.
Three product videos follow in the same style: a product overview, a guide to running an office pool, and a tour of The Lab and PrediBall Plus.
Launch Marketing

For the Champions League 2026-27 season and the launch of the Lab and PrediBall Plus, I designed a social kit in the same navy-and-orange system: channel art for every platform, 18 feed posts and carousels, and eight reels and stories built from the app’s real screens. Lab and Plus pieces switch to the violet the product uses for its analysis.
